LOVE: Saying “¡Ay Dios Mio!”

 

AY DIOS MIOBefore white people came up with OMG we already had ADM¡Ay Dios Mio! is a common phrase Latinos say when either upset or excited. Nine out of ten times is used when someone pesters the hell out of us as in, “Ay Dios Mio, nene, deja de molestarme!” Or “ADM, le voy a dar una bofetada (or galleta) si no se calla la boca.” There are also times one uses it when elated as in, “¡Ay Dios Mio! You won’t believe what happened to me today!”
