LOVE: Saying “Ay Dios Mio!”

 

AY DIOS MIOBefore white people came up with OMG we already had ADMAy Dios Mio! is a common phrase Latinos say when upset or excited. Nine out of ten times is used when someone pesters the hell out of us as in, “Ay Dios Mio, nene, deja de molestarme!” Or “ADM, le voy a dar una bofeta (or galleta) si no se calla la boca.” There are also times one uses it when elated, “Ay Dios Mio! You won’t believe what happened to me today?!”
