Latinos LOVE Daddy Yankee. Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez is a CEO, producer, reggaeton rapper, and songwriter better known by his stage name, “Daddy Yankee”. He was born on February 3, 1977 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico and raised in the projects. He has come a long way since. This talented artist is now a multimillionaire with millions of fans, has sold over 18 million albums worldwide, and won numerous awards. He worked with Reebok and Pepsi creating his own merchandise line in addition to appearing in their advertisement campaigns. He is the owner of the record company, El Cartel Records and the founder of Corazón Guerrero a nonprofit that helps young ex-offenders transition back into society. Daddy Yankee was named in 2006 as one of the 100 most influential people by TIME magazine.
