LOVE: Saying “Ay Dios Mio!”

ay dios mio

Before white people came up with “OMG” we already had “ADM”.   “Ay Dios Mio!” is a common phrase Latinos use when upset or excited.  9 out of ten times is when someone pesters the hell out of us as in: “Ay Dios Mio nene deja de molestarme!”  Or “ADM le voy a dar una bofeta (or galleta) si no se calla la boca.”    There are also times one uses it when happy, (i.e., “Ay Dios Mio, you won’t believe what happened to me today?!”).
