I cannot be the only Latina who did this! Whenever my sisters and I heard about a severe storm coming while my mom would go haywire getting candles ready, sealing windows, and making sure there was enough food supply in the house, my sisters and I would sneak out, hold hands, and dance in circles as the rain pour down on us. The wind was in our hair. The drops felt nice and cold. Our laughter was stronger than the thunder. We didn't have a care in the world. It was absolute freedom. I come from a family of free spirits! We didn't think about getting our feet cut with glass or catching a cold. Yes, we knew our mom would scold us later, but it was well worth it! What were some of your unforgettable childhood memories?
