Latinos LOVE dressing up their children for special occasions. The thing is they do not only dress them up, they super duper dress them up to the point of overdoing it. Think big bows, organza, embroidery, and puffiness galore. It sucks when a Latino child goes to a birthday party, while all the other kids are wearing denim and tees, you betcha that a Latino will be the one with a necktie on (as if at age four he were going to a job interview) or a really cute dress on with a flowery headband (as if she were a flower girl). I thought this only happened to the children of my generation, but apparently not.
